Chief Financial Officer

 

Noordin Mooloo, Chief Financial Officer
Noordin Moloo is the Chief Financial Officer of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He joined the Foundation in August 2010. He manages the Finance and Donor Services Departments and is responsible for financial management and operations, human resources, management information systems and information technology needs as well as overall efficiency and growth of the Foundation.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Noordin worked as Vice President of Finance and Operations for a private company in Southern California. He has over 15 years of finance and management experience and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Noordin has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and stays active in the community by volunteering and taking leadership positions in various institutions.

 

Finance Staff

 

Kamran Ali, Finance and Administration Controller
Kamran is the Accounting & Grants Manager/Financial Controller at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He has been with the Foundation since December 2011 and supervises the Finance Department and works with the CFO.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Kamran worked as the Accounting Supervisor for the York Regional Police, Canada. He has over 10 years of working experience in accounting and finance with emphasis on not-for-profit organizations including York Regional Police and York University, Ontario, Canada. Kamran has a Bachelors Degree from York University, Canada.  He is in the process of securing certification & licensing for a CPA. 

 


Lydie Curney-Boa, General Ledger Accountant
Lydie Curney-Boa is the General Ledger Accountant at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. She has been with the Foundation since May 2005 and is responsible for maintaining and auditing Washington, DC and field office transactions.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Lydie worked as an auditor, accounting manager and financial controller with the Salvation Army in Washington, DC and Atlanta. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Lydie has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Keller School of Management at DeVry University in Decatur, Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science from the National University of Ivory Coast in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

 


Innocent Manishimwe, Grants Officer
Innocent Manishimwe is the Grants Officer at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He has been with the Foundation since September 2008 and is responsible for financial management of Foundation’s grants portfolio.
 
Prior to joining the Foundation, Innocent has worked in several nonprofit organizations, including as Chief Financial Officer of Partners in Health in Rwanda and as a program manager with the Bill Clinton Foundation in Malawi. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees of Business Administration in accounting.

 


Sanam Vazir, Accounting Associate
Sanam Vazir is the Accounting Associate at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. Sanam originally came to Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A as a Professional Development Intern in August 2010. She is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the operational and administrative expenses of the Washington, DC and field offices.

Prior to joining the foundation, Sanam held an internship under the Vice President of Workforce at the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce. Sanam has a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and a minor in International Development from the University of Florida.

 


Nikolai Kosmynin, Finance Assistant
Nikolai Kosmynin is the Finance Assistant at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He helps the Foundation in a variety of tasks, including accounting and grants management.

Nikolai is originally from Moscow, Russia and moved to the United States in 2000. Nikolai graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Multinational Business Operations and Economics.

 

Donor Services Staff

 

Karim Juma, Donor Services and Administration Manager
Karim Juma is Manager of Donor Services and Administration at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He has been with the Foundation since 2004 and is primarily responsible for receiving and receipting all contributions to the Foundation.

Karim has a background in accounting. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California in 1989. Before joining the Foundation, Karim managed an import and distribution business.

 


Shahdil Shivji, Donor Services Staff Accountant
Shahdil Shivji is the Donor Services Staff Accountant at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He addresses donor calls and manages volunteers working in the field on fund collection. He also creates and analyzes regular reports for fundraising teams and the Foundation’s management.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Shahdil worked as the information technology officer at AKF Tanzania, where he supported field projects in Zanzibar as well as in Kenya, Uganda and Mozambique. Shahdil holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Computer Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Virginia.

 


Asad Panjwani, Donor Services Assistant
Asad Panjwani is the Donor Services Assistant at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He helps record, receipt and manage all donations to AKF USA and select AKDN institutions. He also oversees the Deferred Giving program through which donors can contribute a legacy gift to the Foundation.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Asad interned at the United Nations Development Program and was a field volunteer in Oaxaca, Mexico through Amigos de las Américas. He received his Bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles in Economics and Political Science, concentrating in International Relations, and was a scholar at the United World College-USA.

 


Paul Michael, Donor Services Administrative Assistant
Paul Michael is the Administrative Assistant in Donor Services at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. He joined the Foundation in November 2010 and supports donors and volunteers in their account management needs.

Paul has a background in banking and been involved with philanthropic and volunteer work with the Catholic Diocese, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and several other disadvantaged communities. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

 


Yasmin Johnson, Administrative Assistant/Office Manager
Yasmin Johnson is the Administrative Assistant/Office Manager at the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. She joined the Foundation in June 2011.

Yasmin has performed in an administrative role for 10 years, having spent time at the DC Child and Family Services Agency and the US Patent and Trademark Office. She served for three years in the Armed Forces as an Information Specialist and Aero-medical Technician. Yasmin is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management.
